Heavenly Father, Once again our hearts are heavy as we bid adieu to one of your youngest lambs as well as some of our oldest friends and family members. Yet, while we feel emptiness in their absence, we know through faith that all is and will be well. Perhaps it was a bit fanciful when I glanced up at a crystal blue sky just a day ago, and thinking of the young lives now embraced by your loving arms, I saw a small flock of brilliant white seagulls sailing on the wind. And I thought of Isaiah 41:30 and Psalm 91. And those symbolic loving lambs frolicked and soared and lifted my eyes and spirit. I pray for crystal clear days for all of us; days when the troubles and turmoil of this life we live have fallen far below, and we sail on the wind, high above, near a place where we can see forever.
